IGT Industries, the Eastleigh-based designer and manufacturer of MMI assemblies, has been a key component supplier to Sony UK's camera division, based in Pencoed, South Wales, since the broadcast and studio camera manufacturing operation was founded five years ago. IGT supplies custom designed reverse printed computer cut graphic overlays for the cameras and has been awarded Sony's Supplier of the Year award for consistently high performance against the service, quality and reliability criteria laid down by Sony.

Since the inception of the relationship, IGT has worked closely in partnership with Sony UK to achieve their extremely demanding quality standards; continuous product monitoring by a dedicated in-house team drawn from the purchasing, quality and manufacturing departments ensured that issues were promptly resolved before they had an impact on deliveries to Sony. IGT has also re-engineered the products to minimise the environmental impact of the manufactured parts, efforts recognised by the award of Sony "Green Partner" status.
